Indigenous Representative arrangements

Indigenous representative structure

Indigenous Victorians now have a voice in their local community, their region, and with all levels of Government through their Local Indigenous Network. Learn more about the Indigenous representative structure.

Local Indigenous Networks

Each Local Indigenous Network (LIN) is made up of Indigenous community members working together to provide a voice for their community, identify priorities and plan for the future.

Regional Indigenous Councils

Regional Indigenous Councils (RIC) will be made up of LIN representatives, and bring community priorities and plans together to engage with Government and decision making bodies.

Indigenous Community Engagement Brokers

Indigenous Community Engagement Brokers are located in each state region to support the work of LINs and RICs and the implementation of community plans.

Premier’s Aboriginal Advisory Council (PAAC)

Regional representatives along with peak bodies will be represented on the PAAC which provides advice to the Government on local and regional priorities.
